Mixtape Workshop is going on the road! I am excited to be part of a brand-new event, Twine & Twill. Envisioned as a Maker’s Third Space, this one-day event will have all-things fiber: farming, making, and connecting to both the land and our communities.
I will be teaching an introduction to bookbinding workshop from 10:00-11:30 am. We will be making saddle stitched or pamphlet-bound books, and then learning coptic binding.
At noon there will be a discussion on growing a dye garden, and in the afternoon there will be a workshop on English Paper Piecing. There is also a space to sit and work on your personal projects while meeting new likeminded folks, and opportunities to buy locally farmed yarns, etc. Follow co-host @barnandbriar on instagram for more information about the event.
